A car bomb has exploded in Lebanon near the Syrian border. The blast, in an otherwise deserted and muddy open field near a Hezbollah base, appears to be targeting the group, which is helping Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces seize opposition-held areas in Syria.Lebanese army investigators picked through the debris of what appeared to have been a convoy travelling through the field. At least four badly damaged vehicles, including the wreckage of an overturned jeep, were littered across the field.A Lebanese security official said he could not confirm that it was a suicide attack.
