Payday 2 review. Shop CGR shirts & mugs! Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Payday 2 for the PlayStation 3 developed by Overkill Software and published by 505 Games. Payday 2 is a cooperative first-person shooter released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3. A follow-up to 2011's Payday: The Heist, the sequel is largely more of the same stealth-based shooting action. You and a team of thieves are given a mission, and it's your job to pull it off as smoothly as possible. That means going unnoticed as long as you can—and preferably for the entire job. Payday 2 is a challenging and complex game with natural stealth situations, which demand clever thinking and flawless execution to pull off. Otherwise, the job devolves into a gunfight, and when the police arrive, you're always outnumbered. Unlike the first game, which was a digital release, Payday 2 was also released to retail. The game can be played alone with AI-controlled partners, but Payday 2 is intended to be played online. This video review features video gameplay footage of Payday 2 for the PlayStation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
