Lana Del Rey "National Anthem" Music Video: Del Rey debuts brand new "National Anthem" music video and it doesn't disappoint! You're turned in to ClevverMusic. After much teasing of the music video, Lana Del Rey has dropped her new "National Anthem" music video on VEVO. Lana portrays Jackie Kennedy, opposite A$AP Rocky as late President John F. Kennedy in this controversial new video. The patriotic seven minute video drops just in time for the Fourth of July, and we're gonna break it down for you.The video opens in black and white with Lana first portraying Marilyn Monroe singing "Happy Birthday Mr. President" to JFK in the audience. Then Lana is seen in her Jackie O getup with her husband by her side and little kids playing in the yard. The artistic video shows a reenactment of the tragic Dallas motorcade accident in November 1963 to which the President was assassinated. Lana then starts singing the song, and we see flashes back in time of faux family gatherings including a birthday party and a pool day. The couple portrays an interracial couple in the White House in the early 1960s which is sure to raise some eyebrows from critics. We think the video is a bold symbolic choice for Lana and we applaud her. The video ends with more images of the fateful motorcade accident day, but we're not going to give the ending away. You'll have to check out the video yourself, just click the link in the description. Is the video too controversial for you? Leave a comment!
