Hausmann Famille, which is a branch of the wine company known as Châteaux en Bordeaux has introduced a new, modern concoction. Called Rouge Sucette, it is a red wine that is infused with cola flavor. When it comes to wine, age is a virtue. Deviating from the norm, Hausmann Famille, which is a branch of the wine company, Châteaux en Bordeaux has introduced a new, modern concoction. Called Rouge Sucette, it is a red wine that is infused with cola flavor. The new combination is aimed towards attracting the younger drinking crowd. The wine-industry in France isn’t nearly as popular as it once was.The transition seems to be in part because the younger generation’s preference has shifted towards beer and hard liquor. The hope is that Rouge Sucette will lure 20 something drinkers in the world of fine, although slightly sweeter than normal wine. The mixture is described as 75 percent wine while sugar, cola flavoring and water make up the rest. It will make an official premiere in France sometime in August. The cola wine is said to be best enjoyed chilled, straight out of the fridge. How do you like the concept?
