Nadeem Yaqub: Americans celebrated Presidents' Day on Monday, an annual holiday to mark the birthdays of US presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. The first president of the US George Washington successfully led the war of independence then served two terms as president and then moved to his sprawling residence at Mount Vernon, Virginia, where he died. Mount Vernon now is a major tourist attraction which gives a peek into great leader's personal life and his leadership qualities. The story focuses on the role of George Washington in providing leadership in the independence movement and in the initial years of the new country.
