lionfish, angelfish, squid, juvenile French Angel . . . at the Gran Bahia Principe Mexico - the great thing about snorkeling is that you never know what you are going to see. This area is man made and lacks natural coral formations but there are still a surprising variety of tropical fish to see. The lionfish has venomous spines and is an introduced species in this area, it has no enemies so they are spreading far and wide. They eat little fish and are decimating local species.
