Abdul Aziz Khan: Battle of the Atlantic is believed to be the longest single campaign in the second world war. While American Navy was trying to send supplies to its Europe, Nazi submarines were operating in the Atlantic attempting to sink the cargo convoys. This episode tells the story of U-352, a Nazi U-boat sent all the way to the coast of North Carolina. The submarine was sunk by a coast guard vessel and lies today at the depth of 115 feet. The episode features an interview with George Purifoy, the dive team leader who discovered the wreck in 1975. His VOA interview in this program is his last TV appearance as he passed away shortly after the filming of this episode
