The problems in the European Union are once again escalating this morning. First, the demand for German 10 year debt was very poor. The Bundesbank had to retain 39 percent of the offering as it could not be sold. If Germany starts to face problems this could really send the Europe Union into a death spiral much quicker than anticipated. Second, the rating agency Fitch has stated that France is very close to losing it's AAA credit rating. This would be another severe blow to the already fragile European Union. It just seems as if it is just a matter of time before the beginning of the end for the EU.
