Bangalore: The demand for Donkey?s milk is increasing day by day in Bangalore. The pure and fresh 50ml donkey?s milk is available for Rs.100-200. The main reason behind this demand is the medicinal value of donkey?s milk. Many doctors prescribe the donkey?s milk to people who have the problem of ailments. So, the demand for donkey?s milk is increased in Bangalore.

Some families in Bangalore took this donkey?s milk as their business and this gives huge profit to them. One of the sellers, P.Puttaraju said that his grandfather started this business in Bangalore. Now, he stood as a key dealer for transporting this donkey?s milk across Bangalore. He also used to sell this type of donkeys to the marketers.

He said that the milk is transporting to the places like Madiwala, Dasarahalli, Yelahanka, Seshadripuram, Srirampura, Rajajinagar and Cantonment.? Most of the dealers are from these places only. He said that the customers ask for the donkey?s milk at night time also. The people need this donkey?s milk for curing the stomach upsets, cough, cold, fever, asthma and headache. He said that he even give the donkey?s milk for curing a small baby?s appetite. Currently, he has 20 donkeys at his home. These donkeys gave a good financial support for him.

Ahmed Piran, the joint director of BBMP said that the donkey?s milk is good for the health. This will be a good substitute for the milk of human and cow. The milk of donkeys contains high protein and fat. It makes the skin smooth and silky. If you take bath in donkey?s milk, it makes the skin soft. It offers shine to the skin. For feeding the babies, women need the help of the donkey?s milk. The donkey?s milk is rich in Vitamin C, A, D and E. But still the scientific proof is not given about the benefits of donkey?s milk.
