NoxDineen... I appologize for the pron spam in my "best of the vlogosphere" collection.

There is a user who keeps abusing coolections and other mefeedia tools. We've resisted just deletingthe account... but we're using this spammer to identify weeknesses and come up with strategies to block future abusers.

Again, I appologize I have already removed the videos.

The conversation tracking on the homepage is a great first start... but now it's time for stages 2 in tracking the conversation.

I've got had the same issue with how to get SOME of my subscriptions into iTunes and on my iPod but not all.

It's really simple actually.

Just create a new list.

A list is like an alternate queue. All you do is

1) create a new list, call it something like "NoxDineen's Favorite Podcasts"

2) Then go find the audio or video podcasts you want on your ipod, and add them to the list.

3) Finally, add the RSS feed from that list to your iTunes.

Some additional tips

a) if you go to your own profile page (this page) and click on "subscriptions" in the navigation you can see all your the feeds you've subscribed to. In order to add SOME of those to your new list go to the feed page and in the right hand column there will be a link that says "Add this feed to one of your lists"... just click on that and select your list. You're home free. Add as many videoblogs and audio podcasts as you like to your list.

b) Once you've got a list with a few feeds on it here's where the magic happens. Just like your queue you can see ALL the latest and greatest items. On your list page, you'll see a link "All videos and podcasts" in the left hand navigation. That's where you can see and browse all the latest stuff.

c) One the "All videos and podcasts" page you'll also see a big orange RSS icon, right click on that and copy that url... go put it in itunes. Set itunes to aggregate your podcasts every hour so you don't mis nuthin'... it'll all sync right to your iPod.


So! with lists you can have as many channels as you like. I have channels for all sorts of stuff.

I have literally three dozen lists.

For kicks I pop the feeds in the latest Democracy, it absolutely rules, but I do watch the most videos right on mefeedia in my firefox broswer.

I use itunes and my iPod almost purely for audio podcasts.

Mefeedia lists is awesome, I love it, but it's new so admitedly it needs some polish.

With mefeedia lists you can slice and dice your video and audio subscriptions anyway you want and send them to any software or device that's RSS compatible.
