I really liked this protoype as it crossed the eLearning and eResearch boundary, by providing a systematic overview of how a Research paper is written. Think timlapse of how a research paper is written from inception (versions), and then add the ancillary information like twitters and blog posts that feed into the creation of the research paper.

A time-lapse of clouds forming over the flatirons in Boulder, CO as viewed from my apartment. Reminded me of boiling water. This is my first time-lapse video using my ghetto time lapse setup I made from an old web-cam and some Tupperware. I'll post how I made the setup as well as links to the scripts I used in the near future.

I have a place in Tong Lo Wan (Causeway Bay) in Hong Kong Island. Since the view from my place is so nice i decided to do one of those timelapse videos. The camera moved a bit twice during the morning shots since the sun was literally burning my camera so i used the curtain to cover it thus moving it. Anyway this timelapse is done with the Nikon P5100 digital coolpix, plays at 30 fps, and each picture was taken in 30 second intervals. Anyway watch and enjoy. I thought the music was quite catchy haha

I decided to do a timelapse of the moon since there haven't been any neat storms to capture recently. It was a perfect evening for sitting outside all evening; a slight breeze to blow away the mosquitoes and it kept the temperature in the lower 80s. I had been thinking about doing the video for a week prior to doing the shot and scoped out several locations to do it. The Keeper of the Plains was what I had originally intended to capture in the shot, but due to the moon track this month, there was no place for me to set up and get it in the viewfinder...also the powerlines around the keeper are far from photogenic. 30 minutes on Fort Lauderdale beach at night = 10 seconds of time-lapse footage demonstrating the awesome power of nature. In the last few frames, you can see the deluge of rain coming. I had to make a run for it. =) If you like this video I have higher resolution versions on design215.com. See link below. The original footage is 1920 x 1080 High Definition. This is equal in quality to feature films being shot digitally. I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida but I'll be traveling the world over the next few years, creating time-lapse footage from many locations around the globe. Eventually this footage will be edited into a short feature film along the lines of Koyannisqatsi, a film that inspired me to explore time-lapse photography.
