Part Three "I used to think women who looked past my flaws were really cool women with brains, now I think they're just desperate."
from News clips from Moli January 31, 2008
"I used to think women who looked past my flaws were really cool women with brains," one of Los Angeles-based graphic artist Donny Miller's pictures broadcasts. "Now I think they're just desperate." And so establishes his tone. Miller's bright, pop illustrations, often of smiling men and women, belie other bon mots like "You are beautiful in every single way, except maybe one or two," "Let's tell each other our darkest secrets. Later, when things go bad, we can use them against each other," and "We think so much alike. Although, I have no idea what you're thinking." Visit Donny Miller on www.MOLI.com

"Holy Crap That Was Close" Airforce Aviator
from News clips from Moli January 31, 2008
Before the trial and the "If I Did It" days, we remember O.J. Simpson snaking his way through the airport, leaping over luggage and any other obstacle in his way for Hertz rent-a-car commercials. And if there's a fond memory for the Juice's legacy, it's thanks in part to the team at the advertising agency Scali, McCabe, Sloves. There, Norm Siegel, the firm's former Senior Vice President and Creative Group Head, worked on the Hertz account before turning his attention to the airport and planes themselves. These days, Siegel is a full-time aviation enthusiast and artist. His paintings have won awards from the American Society of Aviation Artists. His works include "Holy Crap That Was Close" and "Work Faster." Looks like old ad and copywriting habits die hard. Visit Norman Siegel on www.MOLI.com

Punk and Tattoo Design goes Mainstream
from News clips from Moli January 31, 2008
It's a close call between whether heidiminx has more tattoos or more licensing deals. And it doesn't help settle the count when more of both are getting added all the time. Minx started her clothing and accessories company, Franky & Minx, in March 2001 as a way to integrate authentic alt, punk, and tattoo culture and design into the mainstream. The combination has been so successful that she has secured licensing deals in multiple categories and has co-branded with the likes of Vision Streetwear and Jones Soda. In her spare time, she showcases her 'punk rock Martha Stewart' tips and tricks at her DIY site - www.punkrockdomestics.com. Visit heidiminx on www.MOLI.com

Celebrate the Body with Nubian Heritage
from News clips from Moli January 24, 2008
In the early '90s, Rich Dennis and Nyema Tubman, the co-owners of Nubian Heritage, took their commitment to all natural skin care products for African Americans to the streets. Literally. Old friends Dennis and Tubman started selling pure shea butter as street vendors in New York City. They became so popular that they not only expanded the line, but the whole operation as well. Nubian Heritage has gone from a single lotion to a community-based business and lifestyle brand. There are currently Nubian Heritage stores in Brooklyn, Queens, and the 22,000 square-foot flagship in Harlem, where MOLI checked out the skin and hair care products, home furnishings, cafe, and up and coming day spa. Graffiti Artist Thomas McNamara
from - blip.tv (beta) January 21, 2008
Thomas McNamara, otherwise known as Macky, has been making art for as long as he can remember, winning sculpting contests as early as junior high. At 11, his father got him a lead soldier-making kit. That s when art was introduced and it quickly became evident that it was to be his purpose in life. At 11 he could melt the lead in a small pot, pour it into molds, and paint the little figurines. These soldiers were often given to his parent s friends. The response was wild - the adults all loved them!! As a boy this was real validation for a child surrounded by intimidating, book-smart people. The art carried Macky into all the art classes at Cardinal Newman high school. His love for lead figure painting continued to grow during this period. It was the MTV generation, which Macky believes also had a huge impact on him . . . Since then, there have been many great moments, including showcasing Macky's art on two episodes of MTV's PUNK'd , which featured Ashlee Simpson and Hugh Jackman. Mutt has been the label for Macky's passion since 1997. Just recently, Mutt donated a customized 3-foot skateboard to the Rush foundation, a charity created to send kids to art school. It was a huge honor for Macky to be able to be a part of such a worthy charity. Courtesy of Thomas McNamara on MOLI.com

Are you a Popcorn Lover????
from - blip.tv (beta) December 26, 2007
Everybody loves popcorn. Especially us. But we take it further than anyone else. You could say we're crazy - seriously crazy - about the stuff! How serious? And just how crazy? Serious enough that we created a company completely devoted to popping the freshest, plumpest, most tender kernels of Indiana's finest corn. And crazy enough that we hired the world's first Popcorn Chef, Ed Doyle, to help us reinvent popcorn. Visit Dale & Thomas on MOLI.com
