A Altopascio - Lucca - Italy, luned 14 luglio presso la sala del Granaio in Piazza Ospitalieri, si svolta la veglia Francigena "VIAGGIATORI DEL TEMPO ALLA MAGIONE DEL TAU". Durante l'evento, l'Associazione dei Pellegrini della Francigena e il gruppo CamminaFrancigena di Alberto Conte, hanno presentato il pellegrinaggio a Gerusalemme del prossimo ottobre, mentre l'artista Anna Maria Guarnieri ha presentato la sua opera "Teupascio e la via Francigena". Tra la fine del primo millennio e l inizio del secondo, luoghi santi della Cristianit erano: Gerusalemme, Santiago de Compostela e Roma. Il pellegrinaggio era un fenomeno di massa e dunque la via Francigena divenne per l'epoca, un canale di comunicazione, determinante per la realizzazione dell unit culturale dell Europa Medievale. E' proprio ispirandosi a tale contesto culturale e al ruolo dei cavalieri del Tau, che l'Artista Anna Maria Guarnieri ha realizzato una grande opera e anche un'opera grande, che stata presentata e donata per l'occasione, dalla pittrice toscana, all'Amministrazione Comunale di Altopascio. Alla consegna dell'opera erano presenti il Sindaco di Altopascio Maurizio Marchetti, con l'assessore alla cultura Nicola Fantozzi e il consigliere regionale della Toscana Mario Lupi, membro dell Ufficio di Presidenza dell Associazione Europea per le vie Francigene. Il quadro dal titolo "Teupascio" stato illustrato dal Presidente del Centro Tradizioni Popolari della Provincia di Lucca Prof. Manrico Testi.

This is my video introducing voodoo. If you haven't watched the introduction video, I'd recommend it. I would like to thank the late Maya Deren for her footage she filmed in Haiti 1937-1941, of which I made us in this video.
