On Saturday 14th June 2008, the team from SNO!zone Castleford dumped 25 tonnes of real snow on St Sampsons Square in the centre of York's shopping district. Hundreds of locals turned up throughout the day to watch 22 of the UK's best snowboarders and skiers slay the rail and box setup which had been expertly designed by Damian Doyle. MC Ferg from Burton Snowboards kept the sometimes bemused crowd entertained all through the day which ended in a team competition. The 'limes' won with Wayne Taylor taking the prize for Best Slam with a no-footed attempt on the box. Andy Knight took the Best Trick prize with an insane 270-on switch-up on the down rail, whilst inevitably young gun Jamie Nicholls won Best Rider after an effortless array of 270's on and off, along with some nollie front flips - the last of which he stomped onto the box. Citibank (ticker: STU) has been among the most aggressive in paring the list of colleges it serves. JPMorgan Chase (ticker: JPM), PNC (ticker: PNC) and SunTrust (ticker: STI) say they have not dropped whole categories, but are cutting colleges as well. Some less-selective four-year colleges, like Eastern Oregon University and William Jessup University in Rocklin, Calif., say they have been summarily dropped by some lenders. Davis Scholarships + The Warren L. Davis Scholarships are full-tuition scholarships, worth $26,620 for the 2006-2007 academic year and approximately $110,000 over four years.
