The moon shines in my body, but my blind eyes cannot see it... The musk is in the deer, but it seeks it not within itself: it wanders in quest of grass. Habir I run as a musk-deer runs in the shadow of the forest mad with his own perfume. The night is the night of mid-May, the breeze is the breeze of the south. I lose my way and I wander, I seek what I cannot get, I get what I do not seek. From my heart comes out and dances the image of my own desire. The gleaming vision flits on. I try to clasp it firmly, it eludes me and leads me astray. I seek what I cannot get, I get what I do not seek. Based on this poem by Rabindranath Tagore (number 15 from The Gardener) is this short movie, where we, as the deer, long for what is out of our reach. Or maybe just for some greener grass. Musk (AKA Scent) has been directed and animated by Pota Tseng, his graduate thesis at the School of Visual Arts. He is now working at yU+co after six months at Psyop. Music: Fratres by Arvo Pärt and Leonardo Dreams by Edgar Grana. Corro come un cervo muschiato corre nell'ombra della foresta ebbro del suo stesso profumo. Basato su questo poema di Rabindranath Tagore (numero 15 da Il giardiniere) questo corto animato ci fa agognare, come il cervo, per qualcosa aldilà della nostra portata. The Presets are a Sydney-based electronic duo, consisting of Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes. Girl and the Sea is the title track of their EP released in November 2004 on Modular Recordings.
