 Episode 30: Overheard at Origins

Players discuss a variety of role-playing games. Listening to the audiofiles of games from Origins, I ve found that at the end of the Nine Worlds game Paul Czege ran, Paul and the players, Bill White, Cary Collett, and Phil and Jen Lewis spent about fifteen minutes talking about their experiences with a variety of games. I think it s interesting and even informative to hear about other people s game experiences. So I m going to use that conversation as the foundation of this episode as I continue to work on putting together some actual play samples from Origins. In their conversation, the players talk about Nine Worlds, Lacuna, Burning Wheel and Burning Empires, Mouseguard, My Life with Master, 1001 Nights, Spirit of the Century, and many others. Eh, this took me a little longer than I intended, and to be honest- I'm not that happy with it. It's only my second video, please give me feedback! :D But the story behind this video is: The Doctor had just regenerated, and he's not very happy with who he is. He hasn't quite accepted the fact that he changed because, quite frankly-- he wasn't ready to change. The Doctor was only in his ninth regeneration for a very short amount of time, and enjoyed being who he was. He wasn't quite ready to be someone else yet. So, when the Doctor goes in the TARDIS, he looks at himself in the mirror and ends up seeing his life flash before his eyes. Well, the life he led when he was in his ninth regeneration... right up until the very end. And after looking back on who he was, and what a fantastic life led, the Doctor comes to term with, and accepts the fact that he has regenerated, and has a better attitude about it. He has a good time in finding out who he is, and who he's going to be- and knows to make the best of it. And it sort of shows that Rose accepted the fact that he changed as well. :) Like I said, I'm not extremely happy with it. Maybe one day when I have more time, (and something OTHER than Windows Movie Maker) I'll remake it. Thanks! -Mandi.
