I decided to leave the dogs first thing in the morning to check up on the lions. They’d done pretty well on the buffalo carcass and now all that was left was the skin and neck. This didn’t deter them from continuing to chew on the carcass and making sure the vultures weren’t going to get their share. It was mid morning when I checked up on the dogs. They hadn’t moved far from where I had them yesterday, but were in some thick bush and with me bashing around after them they took off. I didn’t want to stress them anymore, especially having only just put the collar on them yesterday. So left them in peace.
