Seattle art-rockers The Dead Science ( Make Mine Marvel ) released their new album Villainaire last month on Constellation Records. The band arrives in SF on October 15 for a show at the Rickshaw Stop with The Definite Articles and Brookhaven. Supporting his latest album Waiting for the Sunrise, out now on Secretly Canadian, Nashville rocker David Vandervelde ( Someone Like You ) arrives in the Bay later this month. He ll perform wih Margot the Nuclear So and So s and Judgement Day at The Independent on October 5th. San Francisco folk-rock trio Last of the Blacksmiths ( You Think I m Okay ) have two performances coming up. The band joins Magic Bullets at 111 Minnaon October 6th. They ll also be at El Rio on October 25, with Diane Cluck, Garrett Pierce, and Dame Satan. With a new 7 out and a full length in the works, New York s Asobi Seksu ( New Years ) kick off their latest cross-country tour this month. Catch them headlining at the Rickshaw Stop on October 30th, alongside The May Fire and Shuteye Unison. Lemonade s ( Big Weekend ) self-titled album is an innovative batch of psychy electronic rock. Before heading out on tour, the band celebrates the CD s release on October 3rd at the Elbo Room with Buraka Som Sistema. The next day, Tussle and Eats Tapes join the band for a show at the Million Fishes Gallery. Long beach quintent Crystal Antlers ( A Thousand Eyes ) headline an unbelievable bill at the first annual Frisco Freakout, an all-day concert at Thee Parksideon October 11th. Also performing are Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound, Wooden Shjips, Greg Ashley and many more. It s been about five or six months since The Skygreen Leopards ( Disciples of California ) played a show in the area but they are back with a show at Bottom of the Hill on October 9th. Eyes and local band, The Mantles, are also slated to perform. Sean Hayes ( Elizabeth Sways ) returns to the city on October 9th over at The Independent after a short tour with the Cold War Kids. Bay Bridged alumni, Trainwreck Riders open the show. Portland lo-fi folk rock band Horse Feathers ( Curs In The Weeds ) released their acclaimed House With No Home in September on Kill Rock Stars.
