Season 4 wraps up -- for real this time -- with scads of kissing, the first cancer trial survivor, an object lesson in the use of concrete, and... oh yeah, Meredith and Derek are back together. Good show! Have a great summer, everyone.

Cristina and Meredith go to their dark places, but Meredith finally asks Dr. Amy to fix her. We just have one more episode for Meredith and Derek to get together. Will it actually happen?

With Seattle Grace caught between Don't Ask, Don't Tell and Date and Tell, this episode is all about being honest about your feelings. Not that these people are particularly good at that.

Addison's back! Addison's back! Okay, she's not back for good. And some other stuff happened, none of which matters much, because Addison's back!

So, we're still in Season 4 after all. Post-strike, we find Bailey arranging a lion fight that turns the doctors into disease-hungry, sleep-deprived children costing the hospital hundreds of thousands of dollars in unnecessary tests. Good to know why our healthcare system is in such great shape. Oh, and George doesn't like cockroaches.

With Season 4 cut short by the Writer's Guild strike, we look back over the last 11 episodes and make our annual prescriptions for curing what ails the show when Season 5 finally rolls. We also crown our McMoron of the Season. Yes, folks, it's unanimous.

Grey's returns for one final episode this season, and as accidental season finales go, it's not terrible. Oh, except for that breaking up Bailey's marriage thing. That's terrible.

We crash headfirst into the writer's strike, as the season ends... maybe... with lots of surgery gone awry and just about every romance on shaky ground.

Crashing a'plenty - two ambulances, Bailey's home and work duties, Ava and Lexie, Izzie and Cristina, and Derek's surgical computer. Plus, Seth Green's neck explodes. Good work, Lexie.

A bus crash brings high school to Seattle Grace, exposing geeks, freaks, poms and - in Mandy's case - blithering idiots.

The WGA strike begins to affect filming for the remainder of Season 4. That's only a good thing because it distracts us from icky, sweaty O'Mizzie sex.

This oddly-named episode has no Kung Fu, but it does have plenty of snark from the new Burke... er, Dr. Hahn... not to mention bloody brides-to-be.

Meredith brings her Mommy to work - in a bag - and helps a little boy trick-or-treat for ears, while one man gets a heart, another man loses a foot, Cristina gets a new roommate, and Dr. Hahn takes Burke's old job.

The theme is people making mistakes and being forgiven except, by the end, nobody much gets forgiven... especially not Izzie and George.

Despite on-going technical difficulties we finally manage to get something recorded. And despite the title, this episode is not about Meredith and Derek's S and M thing. It's about... well, not much, really.

Everyone encounters an addiction of some kind, and Diahann Carroll guest stars as Mama Burke: Addiction Counselor and Kitchen Appliance Broker. We'll miss her.

Grey's begins its fourth season with a bunch of nameless interns, our gang in charge of said interns, no Burke, no Mer/Der, and no end in sight to O'Mizzie. Oh Shonda, please get a clue.

Grey's goes 1-for-7 at the Emmy's, David and Eric swear a lot about Emmy winners who swear a lot, and Dr. Fig gives her best advice on how not to become a drooling medical statistic who quotes "The Princess Bride."

What We Did On Our Summer Vacation: Mostly, listened to Isaiah Washington blame others for his misfortune. We also look at casting news, plot developments, fan polls, and the Emmy nominations.

We spend the final podcast of the season discussing our suggestions for Season 4.

We'll take a look back at a season that began with viewers hoping for a little relief after ending Season 2 with Denny's death. The relief? Never came. When did Grey's turn into a Chekhov play?

In Season 3's finale pretty much nothing goes right for anyone except Joe and Walter. No more Burktina, no more MerDer, no new job for Bailey and, certainly, no fun for the viewers. Downer, anyone?

Meredith probably won't mail Thatcher a Father's Day card after he humiliates her and makes her (almost) flunk her big exam. Plus, Ava becomes Rebecca, and Joe and Walter might become fathers. Let's hope they do better than Thatcher.

It's 2-for-1 night at Seattle Grace, as we get our usual show plus a spinoff-that-isn't with Addison and her wacky, wacky friends. Plus, Meredith loses her second Mom in as many months while Cristina's two Moms plan a wedding around her.
