Vimeo in January, 2005
from Vimeo / Jakob Lodwick's uploaded videos May 11, 2007
Video-based blogging was starting to get popular among a fringe group of innovative weirdos towards the end of 2004. Some of them organized "Vloggercon", where around a hundred of us gathered at NYU to meet eachother and present what we'd be working on. Vimeo was about a month old at this point, and they let me demo it. It was different back then, enjoy. Here's the first Vimeo on archive.org: http://web.archive.org/web/20041230042348/www.blumpy.org/vimeo/ Here is the page with the full version of this video: http://www.archive.org/details/VloggerCon05SessionsTOOLStoolsvloggercon05mov Cast: Jakob Lodwick, robyan, Josh Abramson, Eric Lodwick, Anna Lodwick and Marta Crowe

When we want to talk to another company, we set up a conference call through IAC's conference system. The call doesn't start until the "leader" joins, so sometimes you sit there waiting, getting funky. The call was with NetVibes, who we intend to work with. Please Calm Down (Fiyah)
from Vimeo / Jakob Lodwick's uploaded videos May 02, 2007
Last night I went to Powhaus, the Apes & Androids recording studio. I listened to almost-finished versions of their new songs. They're going to mix and master it, and it will be out, at the very earliest, in about two months. I think it's going to reach a very large audience. I don't think David understood what Brian was doing. I talked with Brian and David for a few hours about websites for bands. We tossed around some thoughts on a band feature for Vimeo. I think something weird about most sites (like MySpace, of course) is that they treat a band like it's a person. I don't think that makes sense. A band is a group of people, and a group is not a person. It's a start. Cast: Jakob Lodwick, dtobes
