From : KUOW's The Conversation<br />State legislators and staff members were having drinks after a committee meeting in the Tri Cities. State Representative Jim Dunn said something he now regrets. He offered to buy a drink for a female staffer so he could take her home. As a result Dunn has been stripped of committee assignments. Now his lawyer says Dunn is being discriminated against for exercising free speech. When is an inappropriate remark grounds for disciplinary action, and when isn't it? It's a pertinent question with office holiday parties coming up. Lips could be loose. Inappropriate things may be said. If you say something crude, should you be punished the next day at work? Also today, when you serve kids healthy food at school, do they eat it? We'll tell you what one study says. And finally, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is revising the country's floodplain maps. In Washington State, proposed revisions designate thousands of additional properties as floodplains.
