Registration opened at the Izod Center for the next season of American Idol Sunday morning. Auditioners were able to pick up a wristband and will return on Tuesday morning for the actual audition. Registration is open 24 hours a day until Tuesday August 19th. Paul Marturano, of New Hope PA, was one of the people getting a wristband. One of the few free county fairs, the Somerset County 4-H Fair is on of the oldest and largest in the state. Now in it's 61st year, the event draws an estimated 60,000 people over three days. 4-H members race go-karts, set up model trains, even bake cakes and spin wool. But the animals remain the fair's biggest draw. Children in crisp white shirts and slacks parade their farm animals, from cows to horses, from sheep to alpacas, around the show ring in what is the culmination of a year's worth of training and work. At Fruitwood Orchards in Monroeville, making honey is serious business. The orchard can produce up to 60,000 lbs of honey in a year. The bees are also essential to the pollination process for the fruit trees at the orchard and with the arrival of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) the health of the bees is very important. Although there is no specific cause of CCD, beekeepers around the country are doing their best to keep their bees healthy so that we can enjoy all of the fruits and vegetables we have become accustom to. He was the childhood swim coach of Cullen Jones who just became the first African American to win gold in the 4X100 relay. In the 1930s, a group of pioneering nudist enthusiasts purchased a property in the remote Watchung Mountains of central New Jersey. More than 75 years later, they're still there, tucked away in what is now the affluent suburban enclave of Bernards Township. Billed as the oldest nudist camp in the country, Sky Farm boasts a diverse membership of all ages. Word of mouth, newspaper and magazine ads and the club's website keep the club's membership hovering between 250 and 300, but in recent years the once-reclusive club has begun opening its doors for an open house for prospective members, as it did in June with a fundraiser to support breast cancer research.
