from Dailymotion - channel tech & science August 20, 2008
For years Dr. Martin wrestled with the conflicts between evolutionary theory and the Bible. As a scientist, he was sure he knew the answers. But then his faith, as a Christian, completely changed his life. In this DVD series, Dr. Martin will point out the distinct differences between evolution and creation. He will take a look at animals that break all the evolutionary 'rules'. He will examine the many problems with evolution and show why the Bible is an excellent source of science. Personalised Universe?
from Top Rated August 14, 2008
This is our universe. Our best estimates put it at some 78 billion light years across. Within this vast space there are 100s of billions galaxies, each with billions of stars. Many of these stars have planets orbiting them. Out of all these stars, we know of at least 1 that has 9 such planets. The third planet from this star is the one we call home - Earth. Much of the Earth is molten rock of up to 7,000 degrees in temperature, but it cools near the surface forming a solid crust. The crust forms large plates which collide with each other, in turn causing volcanos and earthquakes. 70.8% of the planet's surface is covered by water, so we can't live there. Occasionally the water is forced onto the land area by seismic events or storms, devastating coastal areas. The land area comprises 29.2% of the surface, but not all of it is inhabitable. Some areas are too cold and icy winds blow across the frozen landscape. Some areas too hot and the plants on which we depend struggle to survive. Some are too high and the air is too thin to hold the oxygen we need to breath. Some are arid and the soil infertile, making it difficult to eek out a living. Some are to rugged or treacherous, making movement difficult. Some are covered in swamps or thick forests. Out of all this space, we can only survive in the smallest of fractions. Choosing some random place in the universe to visit would almost certainly mean instant death. If we confine ourselves to a sphere no bigger than the Earth our chances of survival are still remote. If we further confine ourselves to the Earth's surface we are likely to survive - at least for a short while. It seems the universe was not built for us. In fact, If it were conscious you might think it wanted to kill us. Does it seem like the work of an designer to you? Does this seem like the work of something intelligent? Is this universe really designed for us, or are we designed for a small fraction of it?

Why Do Some Scientists Oppose ID?
from Intelligent Design The Future August 13, 2008
In this episode of ID the Future, Casey Luskin explains why many scientists oppose intelligent design. He argues that most of the objections to ID rest on false caricatures and misunderstandings of the theory. Is ID just a negative argument against evolution? Does ID necessarily appeal to a God-of-the-Gaps? Is ID an attempt to disguise theology as science? Listen as Casey addresses these questions and shows how ID is a positive and scientific argument that infers the best explanation: intelligent design.

Is ID Creationism? William Dembski Answers Top Three Objections to ID
from Intelligent Design The Future August 06, 2008
On this episode of ID the Future, Casey Luskin continues an interview with leading intelligent design theorist and CSC Senior Fellow William Dembski. Together, Dembski and Luskin address the three most common objections to design: that it is improper to infer design based on unlikely probabilities, that dysfunctional or suboptimal biological structures disprove that they were designed, and that intelligent design is nothing more than repacked creationism. Touching on such topics like pattern detection, design constraints, philosopher Immanuel Kant, and theology, Dembski shows that there are logical and reasonable answers to these objections and that intelligent design is a useful and scientific theory.

Seeing Spots: Dr. Cornelius Hunter and Science's Blind Spot
from Intelligent Design The Future July 30, 2008
On this episode of ID The Future, Casey Luskin speaks with biophysicist and author Cornelius Hunter about naturalism, the dogma of evolution, and his new book Science’s Blind Spot. Neo-Darwinism's Homology Problem
from Intelligent Design The Future July 23, 2008
