From : Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and Mrbubble!
The ribbon banners are posted outside of the Theed Palace and that can only mean one thing, a new episode of SWGwYaMB! One question has been on everybody's mind lately: Is there going to be another Star Wars MMORPG? We call our pal Brent, host of the VirginWorlds podcast (www.virginworlds.com), to see what he thinks. (On a side note, he was right! Let this episode serve as a testament to his wisdom of the MMORPG world.) We also talk about some exciting things coming to SWG - the in-game browser and voice chat, big changes for munitions traders, and of course the recently announced SWG virtual trading card game, Champions of the Force!

From : Contrabass Conversations - double bass life on the low end of the spectrum with Jason Heath
We re featuring Gary Karr, one of the all-time most influential double bassists, on Contrabass Conversations today. Hearing Gary Karr on record was a defining experience for me in my youth (as was the case for bassists worldwide), and hearing him live remains one of my most memorable double bass performances of all time. The complete audio version of this video is available through the media player at contrabasssconversations.com (at the top of this post) and through the podcast feed for subscribers. You can watch the complete video below (1 hr 40 min) or download it through the following link: An Afternoon With Gary Karr - Barry Lieberman and Friends - download (667 MB) This video is a magnificent tribute to Gary Karr. University of Washington bass professor Barry Lieberman interviews Gary as they listen (along with an enthusiastic audience) to recordings from various stages of Barry s career. The video concludes with a performance from Gary and pianist Harmon Lewis, a rare treat from this retired duo. Lear more about Gary Karr at his website garykarr.com, and learn more about Barry Lieberman and his project featuring arrangements of great chamber music that include the double bass at theamericanstringproject.com. We ll also be releasing this complete video in segments on YouTube, so feel free to search for it there as well. Enjoy, and stay tuned next week for the first segment of our interview with Barry Lieberman, which will feature performances from The American String Project.

From : Digital Photography Tips from the Top Floor (Audio/Video)
It was such a perfect plan: Drive up to Petaluma, enter the TWiT Dungeon Cottage, take over Leo s TWiT Live TV and make him talk to me about photography for at least two hours while sending me tons of new followers to Twitter and new subscribers to Tips from the Top Floor. But as we all know, the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. So did mine. And it wasn t even my fault. Neither Leo s. Let s get semi techy for a minute here. The TWiT Cottage has an elaborate broadcast setup that consists of 5 cameras, a ton of LED-based lights, great architecture (including dark red drapes, giving this a beautiful Steam Punk type of feel) and a system called Tricaster. Tricaster is at the heart of video processing, making it possible for Leo Laporte to switch live between cameras, to add effects, titles, lower-thirds and so on. Tricaster is an XP-based system. Not only is it very flexible, but it can also record the video for later use. Such as on Leo s planned ToDCast (which stands for TWiT On Demand - a podcast of the TWiT Live show). And my appearance on TWiT Live was supposed to be the prototype for ToDCast. It was important. World-shakingly important. Leo knew that, and so did I. The only piece of the equation that didn t want to cooperate was the Tricaster. It blue-screened right in the middle of the broadcast. In all fairness, this was probably down to a faulty hard-drive but it still foiled my plans for world domination. Oh well, as much as Leo tried to fix things, he didn t succeed. There was no way to quickly revive the Tricaster. While I took some pictures to document the disaster and while I tried to let the world know via Twitter, I also recorded a short piece of audio with Leo to make sure everyone knew what was going on behind the scenes. This is what you can hear in this short episode of Tips from the Top Floor. As we had discussed some really interesting things around photography on camera, Leo promised to try salvage from the faulty disk whatever Tricaster had recorded up to this point and make it available to me, so I can bring at least some of the video to you on this feed. Stay tuned (and stay subscribed) » More pictures » Download MP3 for this episode

From : Podiobooker
Jeff Burton adds to our collection of Young Adult (and Family Friendly) titles with his novel, The Round Red Stone: This tale concerns a lad of twelve, who sets off unwillingly on a journey with his uncle. In the course of his adventures, he obtains a stone, whose ultimate meaning is tied up with the fate of a war between two cities. As commonly happens with boys, he finds himself at the center of the conflict. Can he divine the stone’s purpose in time? Even more importantly, can he even hang on to it? The story includes a mystery, long journeys, prisons, adventure, and living out-of-doors. There is also a fairly large battle at the end, with plenty of blood. Death appears throughout. I believe that no one washes his hands at any point in the account, but sometimes my memory is faulty. It takes place long ago, but not in a place you ll find in an atlas. Some may be disappointed in the absence of wizards and dragons. Girls are welcome to listen, but they should be forewarned. Horses are mentioned, but no person develops any meaningful friendship with one. Talking animals, while interesting, do not figure in any way (unless one considers boys between the ages of ten and fourteen to be talking animals). There is absolutely no kissing of any kind. With those cautions in mind, I invite you to listen to The Round Red Stone.

 From : Drive: Car Reviews
C30 is fun, fast and fashionable - and being a Volvo, it's safe too. In the end the only thing keeping the C30 from its intended young demographic is the price.

From : Mostly Trivial with your host Johnee Bee
Famous Landmarks Stonehenge As you drive through the swirling mists of the Salisbury plain, the trailers of mist part and you gape incredulously at the glorious tableau. An ancient henge encloses enormous orthostats and colossal trilithons of heathen sarsen and shadowy dolerite. "Stonehengeâ" you breathe in an awed whisper. "Large rocks stuck in the sod," observes your more prosaic companion, "for no good reason that I can think of. Besides, technically, some would claim Stonehenge isn't even a henge, you know." So, technically, what's a henge? Well, it's a round or oval bank with an interior ditch, of course! ______________ Win a Prize perhaps... First Prize is a AppleiPod "Touch"! You keep hearing technical terms, the meanings of which you are not entirely sure. You keep seeing big rocks. Which of the following means "big rock"? âA. MegalithâB. Trilithon C.
