Pie in the Sky is the story of two friends that start a dot com with the goal of revolutionizing pizza delivery through online ordering. It was made as part of the 2003 Boston 48 Hour Film Project. At 7pm on Friday, October 12th, we attended the 48 Hour Film Project kick-off event where each of the teams drew a genre and other required elements out of a hat. We then had exactly 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, score, and deliver a 5-10 minute film. Pie in the Sky was the product of our ensuing sleep-deprived but oh-so-much-fun weekend. We completed the movie and turned in the finished DV tape with 2 minutes to spare. Pie in the Sky won the Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Audience Choice Awards of the 2003 Boston 48 Hour Film Project. Pie in the Sky was directed by Sean Fitzroy and produced by Vikki Merriman.
