No jaywalking in Japan
from Vimeo / mmeiser's subscription videos December 06, 2007
Untitled from on Vimeo. In Japan, people don’t jaywalk. When the odd person does, they are frowned upon. Even when there are no cars coming, in one of the busiest shopping districts of Tokyo, everyone obediently waits on the sidewalk. When the signal turns green, a hoard of pedestrians is unleashed upon the crosswalks. It’s quite a sight. I took shots from afar and from within the sea of humanity at a crossing in Shibuya on Jingu-dori and at the famous Shibuya Crossing. I took other street crossing video in Shinjuku, Tokyo and Namba, Osaka, but I'll upload those later. Cast: Jon Feldman

Lip Dub- I'll Be There For You
from Vimeo / mmeiser's subscription videos December 06, 2007
Over Thanksgiving break I decided to try to get some of my friends from home hooked on Vimeo through the beautiful art of lip dubbing. Noticeably absent from this group is X-tine Rimar. Additionally, I apologize in advance for the gratuitous shot of Ed's crotch. Cast: Jake Hurwitz

(VIDBLOG) A Foot in the Door - New York City, 2007
from Vimeo / Videos stevegarfield likes November 24, 2007
I think this may ... no ... it must be the longest time since I've released a video blog. My entire experience here in NYC has gone without an official vidblog. It's sad since we've had over 30 people stay with us at one time or another, and so little of that I caught on film. I guess my excuse was that I was already making so much video at work, that I didn't feel the need to do anything more. I regret that decision somewhat. It HAS been extraordinarily busy as of late, but I'm going to do my best to keep up from now on. Even if it's just recording 10 minutes a week, that'll add up to something nice in the end. Please leave a comment below. Thanks guys. There will be a 'party montage' video blog coming up next. Had a ton of footage left over that didn't feel right in this piece. Cast: justin, Brad Miller, Amir, Erik Beck, Jeff Rubin, Steve Nelson, streeter seidell, Kevin Mosley, DaveAOK, amandalynferri, Matt Pollitt, Kyle Fasanella, Ricky Van Veen and Josh Mohrer

With and Without the 35mm adapter on Canon HV20
from Vimeo / High Def November 23, 2007
With and Without the 35mm adapter on Canon HV20 from twoneil on Vimeo. This is my most honest test with the 35mm adapter, comparing footage captured with and without the 35mm adapter. The exposure is locked in the beginning. Autoexposure is set towards the end. There is about 1 stop of light loss. Vignetting and slight chromatic aberration is introduced as a compromise for a shorter and less expensive adapter. The image with the 35mm adapter is flipped Vertically (but I forgot to flip it Horizontally) More info: http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?t=2825 Cast: twoneil

The sound of ... minn Heima
from Vimeo / mmeiser's subscription videos December 06, 2007
Cameron Christopher proposed a project around Sigur Rós' Glosoli ( http://www.vimeo.com/forums/topic:3094 ). This was a real challenge for me to get the right video for the song. Just recently, Sigur Rós started a challenge for YouTubers ( http://www.hvarf-heim.com/contest/ ) to use extra clips from the group's documentary in their own video. There was some beautiful imagery, so I decided to pair the two media. I ran out of appropriate footage, so the song got trimmed (hope that's okay for the project!). Cast: Ben Millett
