Jockey International, Inc. is a company known for its line of underwear, sleepwear, and socks for men, women, and children. The company is based in Kenosha, Wisconsin (mid-way between Chicago & Milwaukee), in the United States, and is known for having invented the first men's brief in 1934. The company began producing women's underwear in 1982. Jockey History Jockey was originally named Coopers Inc., and was founded by Samuel T. Cooper in 1876 as a hosiery business. Cooper began the business when he learned that lumberjacks were suffering from poorly constructed wool socks. In 1900 Cooper began making undergarments and demand increased so quickly that by 1902 an extensive new factory was built to support sales. By the 1930s Coopers was nearly bankrupt due to hardships caused by The Great Depression until two important events occurred. The first, Harry H. Wolf, Sr. began working with the company to reorganize and save it. Then in 1934 Coopers designed a new style of underwear called the brief. On January 19, 1935 the Jockey brief was introduced at Marshall Field's State Street store in downtown Chicago. Store management thought it was ludicrous to be displaying such skimpy underwear on a day when the worst blizzard of the winter was hitting Chicago, a day for long johns if there ever was one, and ordered the display removed. Before the display could be taken down, six hundred packages of Jockey Shorts were sold. Thirty thousand pairs sold in the next three months, and Jockey began "Changing the Underwear Habits of the Nation." Jockey briefs sold out in every store almost immediately, in a marketing move Coopers sent its Mascu-liner airplane to bring special deliveries of masculine support Jockey briefs to retailers. Ultimately, Coopers adopted the popular Jockey brand as its company name, and continued to produce innovative garments to enhance everyone's bottom line. Seamless waistbands, no panty lines, the Y-Front ... all industry firsts brought to market by Jockey. In 1982 Jockey introduced "Jockey for Her," the company's first line dedicated to women. Women's products now account for nearly half of Jockey's business. Jockey in the Present Day Today, the privately held Jockey International, Inc. enjoys iconic brand status, has operated for more than 130 years and is headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jockey is a recognized Trademark in over 120 countries. In 2000, Jockey began selling products directly on-line at jockey.com. It also operates roughly 100 stores across the United States and millions of consumers have joined the Jockey Club loyalty program since its launch in 1996. Jockey.com has a lot of product images. Jockey manufactured Life and formfit brands temporarily for Wal-Mart and Target, respectively. Jockey continues to manufacture the Life brand of men's underwear but has discontinued the women's line as of 2002, according to a Jockey customer representative. In 2005 Jockey introduced its direct-selling division Jockey Person to Person. The independent sales force, known as Comfort Specialist consultants, sell products for women. Product lines include activewear, sleepwear, loungewear and a variety of comfort items. Jockey Being Family Jockey Being Family is Jockey International's community relations initiative focused on supporting families after theyve adopted a child. Through this initiative, Jockey strives to increase awareness of and accessibility to post adoption services nationwide for adoptive families. Kmart Xbox Promotion Codes

http://www.EscapeTheCycle.com Kmart Xbox Promotion Codes Get Kmart Xbox Promotion Codes savings and cash back, click the link above. Kmart (sometimes spelled as "K-Mart") is a chain of department stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam. The chain merged with Sears in 2005, creating the Sears Holdings Corporation. Kmart also exists in Australia and New Zealand (see Kmart Australia), although it now has no relation to the American stores except in name after US equity in the Australian business was purchased in the late 1970s. It is the third largest discount store chain in the world, behind Wal-Mart and Target. As of January 28, 2006, Kmart operated a total of 1,416 Kmart stores across 49 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This store count included 1,361 discount stores, averaging 92,000 square feet, and 55 Super Centers, averaging 165,000 square feet.[1]. Kmart's world headquarters was located in Troy, Michigan in a sprawling complex which, since Kmart's relocation to Illinois, has been slated for demolition [2]. Kmart became known for its "Blue Light Specials." They occurred at surprise moments when a store worker would light up a mobile police light and offer a discount in a specific department of the store. The phrase "attention Kmart shoppers" also entered into the American pop psyche, as seen in the movie Rain Man. Kmart History Sebastian S. Kresge, who had previously founded the S. S. Kresge dime store chain, opened the first Kmart store on March 1, 1962 in Garden City, Michigan[3] and named Kmart after himself; this store is still in operation to this day. A total of eighteen Kmart stores opened that year. Kmart Foods, a now defunct chain of Kmart supermarkets, opened in that same decade. During the 1970s, Kmart put a number of competing retailers out of business. In 1977, S. S. Kresge Corporation changed its name to Kmart Corporation. In 1987, the Kmart Corporation sold its remaining Kresge and Jupiter stores in the United States to McCrory Stores, although Canadian Kresge stores continued to operate until 1994. [edit] Changes for Kmart Logo 1962-1990. It is still used at some Kmart locations. An updated version of the logo is still used by Kmart Australia with the word "mart" rendered in italics. This logo was also used in Australia which was used from 1980 to 1991.During the 1980s, the company's fortunes began to change; many of Kmart's stores were considered to be outdated and in decaying condition. In the late 1980s and into the 1990s, the corporate office shifted much of its focus from the Kmart stores to other companies it had acquired or created, such as The Sports Authority, Builders Square, and Waldenbooks. In 1990, in an effort to change their image, Kmart introduced a new logo (dropping the old-style italic "K" with a turquoise "mart," created 1962), and renovated many stores. (This logo forms part of the "Big Kmart" logo pictured below.) However, most stores were not re-modeled until the mid-1990s, and some have not been completely renovated to this day. This logo was replaced in 2004 with the current logo. In the early 1990s, Kmart also tried to reinvent itself by using the short-lived Today's Kmart name. The company also began to offer exclusive merchandise by Martha Stewart, Kathy Ireland, and Jaclyn Smith. Other recognizable brands included Sesame Street and Disney. Rosie O'Donnell and Penny Marshall were among the company's most recognized spokespersons. [edit] Super Kmart and Big Kmart Kmart opened its first 147,000-square-foot (13,700 m2) Super Kmart[4] in 1991 in Medina, Ohio. The second Super Kmart opened in Montrose, Ohio, but is now closed. Kmart also opened the first Big Kmart in Chicago, Illinois, on April 23, 1997. Some Kmart stores were converted to the Super Kmart concept, but most were converted to the Big Kmart concept, possibly because it was less reminiscent of Wal-Mart's Supercenter concept. Big Kmart logo [edit] Blue Light Special and 1994 Closures Kmart's red classic logo (1990-2004).The original Blue Light Special disappeared in 1991[5], due to changing consumer habits and misuse by individual stores (according to the company's official explanation). The company brought back the Blue Light Special in the early 2000s, but within a few weeks the program was scrapped. In 1994, Kmart closed 110 stores. Unlike its competitors Wal-Mart and Target, it had failed to invest in computer technology to manage its supply chain. Furthermore, Kmart maintained a high dividend, which reduced the amount of money available for improving its stores. Many business analysts also faulted the corporation for failing to create a coherent brand image. Get Kmart Xbox Promotion Codes savings and cash back, click the link above. Its flagship store in Herald Square, New York City has been billed as the "world's largest store" since 1924, although today it ties with London's Harrods in vastness of selling space. The company has designated additional regional flagships in major urban centers and operates a total of 810 U.S. stores (as of September 2008).[1] The company produces the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a well known parade which has been held on the streets of New York City annually since 1924. The company also sponsors the city's annual Fourth of July fireworks display, which began in 1976. Macy's was founded in 1858 by Rowland Hussey Macy, a Quaker businessman. On the company's first day of business which was October 28, 1858 the sales totaled $11.06. Macy had established a dry goods store in downtown Nantucket, Massachusetts in 1851 that initially served the whaling community there. Macy moved to New York City and established a new store named "R. H. Macy and Abiel T. La Forge, and Macy died just two years later in 1877.[2] In 1893, R. H. Macy & Co. was acquired by Isidor Straus and his brother, Nathan Straus, who had previously held a license to sell china and other goods in the Macy's store. In 1902, the flagship store moved uptown to Herald Square at 34th Street and Broadway. Although the Herald Square store initially consisted of just one building, it expanded through new construction, eventually occupying almost the entire block bounded by 7th Avenue on the west, Broadway on the east, 34th Street on the south and 35th Street on the north. Exceptions are the small, pre-existing building on the corner of 34th and Broadway, which carries Macy's famous shopping bag sign under an agreement allowing the Macy's sign, and small pre-existing building on the corner of 35th and 7th. The original Broadway R. H. Macy and Company Store (building), was built in 190102 by architects De Lemos & Cordes. It is sheathed in a Palladian façade, but has been updated in many details. Other additions to the west were added in 1924, 1928, and 1931, all designed by architect Robert D. Kohn. They are all in the Art Deco style.[3] The building has been designated a National Historic Landmark. It boasts one of the few wooden escalators still in operation. The problem of a pre-existing building also presented itself when Macys built a store on Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst, Queens, New York. This resulted in an architecturally unique round department store on 90 percent of the lot, with a small privately owned house on the corner. A key President in the build up of the company was Herb Yalof. Get Macys Online Coupons savings and cash back, click the link above. Save on Pumas
from YouTube :: Tag // 2008 Summer Olymipics September 22, 2008
http://www.EscapeTheCycle.com Save on Pumas Save on Pumas and get cash back, click the link above. Puma AG Rudolf Dassler Sport (Puma) (FWB: PUMG) is a large German-based multinational company that produces high-end athletic shoes and other sportswear. The company is perhaps best known for its football shoes and has sponsored such international football stars as Pelé, Eusébio, Johan Cruijff, Enzo Francescoli, Diego Maradona, Lothar Matthäus, Kenny Dalglish, Didier Deschamps and Gianluigi Buffon. Puma is also the sponsor of the Jamaica track athlete Usain Bolt who won three gold medals by breaking the man's 100m, 200m and 4x100m world records in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In the United States, the company is probably best-known for the suede basketball shoe it introduced in 1968, which eventually bore the name of New York Knicks basketball star Walt "Clyde" Frazier, and for its endorsement partnership with Joe Namath. In Australia, Puma is best known as the official apparel and footwear supplier of 5 clubs within the AFL (Australian rules Football League), the West Coast Eagles, Hawthorn FC, Sydney Swans, Brisbane Lions, and the Essendon FC. The company also offers lines shoes and sports clothing, designed by Lamine Kouyate, Amy Garbers, and others. Since 1996 Puma has intensified its activities in the United States. Puma owns 25 percent of American brand sports clothing maker Logo Athletic, which is licensed by American professional basketball and football leagues. Since 2007 Puma AG is part of the PPR French luxury group. Puma Rudolf's company changed its name to Puma Schuhfabrik Rudolf Dassler in 1948, and became a public company in 1986, listed on the Börse München and Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The sponsorship of sports stars continued, including: 1948 - In the first football match after World War II, several members of the West German national football team wear Puma boots, including the scorer of West Germanys first post-war goal, Herbert Burdenski 1952 Summer Olympics - Josef Barthel of Luxembourg won Puma's first Olympic Gold (1500m) in Helsinki, Finland 1960 Summer Olympics - Puma paid German sprinter Armin Hary money to wear Pumas in the 100 metres final. Hary had worn Adidas before and asked Adi for payment, but Adidas rejected this. Hary won gold in Pumas, but then laced up Adidas for the medals ceremony - to the shock of both Adi and Rudolf. Hary hoped to cash in from both with the trick, but Adi was so outraged he banned the Olympic champion. 1970 FIFA World Cup - Pelé stopped the referee with a last-second request to tie his shoelaces at the opening whistle of a 1970 World Cup finals match and then knelt down to give millions of television viewers a close-up of his Pumas. Pelé was complying with a request by Puma's representative Hans Henningsen to raise the German sports shoe company's profile after they gave him $120,000 to wear their boots. However, the brothers earlier split led to a divided town. From 1948, the town was really split in two like a sort of mini Berlin. Brand loyalty became paramount for many residents, and there were stores, bakers and bars which were unofficially known as either loyal to Rudolf's Puma, or to Adolf's Adidas. The town's two football teams were also divided: ASV Herzogenaurach club wore the three stripes, while 1 FC Herzogenaurach had the jumping cat on its footwear. Intermarriage was frowned upon. When handymen came to work at Rudolf's home, they would wear Adidas shoes on purpose so that when Rudolf would see their footwear, he'd tell them to go to the basement and pick out a pair of Puma shoes, which they could have for free. The two brothers never reconciled, and although both are buried in the same cemetery, they are spaced apart as far as possible. In May 1989, Rudolf's sons Armin and Gerd Dassler agreed to sell their 72 percent stake in Puma, to Swiss business Cosa Liebermann SA. Puma in the Present day Puma AG has approximately 7,742 employees and distributes its products in more than 80 countries. For the fiscal year 2003, the company had a revenue of €1.274 billion. Puma were the commercial sponsors for the 2002 anime series, Hungry Heart: Wild Striker, with the jerseys and clothing sporting the Puma brand. The company has been conducted by CEO and Chairman Jochen Zeitz since 1993. His contract has been extended ahead of schedule for four more years until 2012 in October 2007. Japanese fashion guru Mihara Yasuhiro teamed up with Puma to create a high-end and high-concept line of sneakers Puma is the main producer of enthusiast driving shoes and race suits. Author: Ghis1964 Added: Thu, 11 Sep 2008 15:55:46 -0800 Duration: 1200This is vital information that too many want to ignore. Sending your kid to college? Find out what they will be taught and how they cannot question orthodoxy without imperiling their career. Much as we see in another current film, Expelled, the powers-that-be have labored mightily to exclude all alternative opinions, making their view the only one worthy of discussion. What was once discourse is now indoctrination. -Speech codes -Censorship -Enforced political conformity -Hostility to diversity of opinion -Sensitivity training We usually associate such things totalitarian regimes, not with the American universities that nurtured the free speech movement. When we think of college, we think of intellectual freedom. We think of exploring ideas through energetic, ongoing, critical thinking and debate. But the reality is very far from the ideal. What most of us don't know is that American college students check their First Amendment rights and individual freedom at the door.

from Revver - american Videos September 11, 2008
Author: Ghis1964 Added: Wed, 10 Sep 2008 21:55:42 -0800 Duration: 1200This is vital information that too many want to ignore.
