The local lovely is in love with the local doctor's son Kenneth, whom she wants to hookup with, but her aunt, who is pissed off with his father does everything to prevent it from going down. Lover-boy is working as a doctor in the next town, but does not make enough money to kick it a wife and their younger brother, so both have to chill for awhile. When the town's boozer s daughter is killed by a hit and run driver, they convince the sheriff to make the father a deputy, to give his ego a boost. As a ploy to gain publicity, a motion picture director wants his star actress to take a baby with her on a train trip. The director's secretary asks the train's engineer, an old boyfriend, for help.
