The Superman mythos is full of legacies, and Jimmy Olsen is no exception. In 'Superman Returns,' young actor Sam Huntington steps into the shoes of Superman's pal and aspiring photographer for the Daily Planet. He didn't have to look far for inspiration. Jack Larson, who played the cub reporter in the Adventures of Superman (starring George Reeves), has a role in 'Superman Returns' and he passes the camera and bowtie to a new generation.

San Diego Comic-Con - The largest comic event in North America. Superman - The world's most beloved superhero. Every fan at Comic-Con was anticipating what wonderful surprises might be in store at Saturday morning's Superman Returns panel. Bryan Singer flew half way around the world to give fans their first glimpse of footage from the new film. The result... a standing ovation.

In an homage to Superman: The Movie, Bryan updates a classic scene. Under a stunning Aussie sky, and with the help of a few practical special effects, Clark Kent's casual toss of a baseball is turned into a superheroic throw.

Production Designer Guy Dyas gives a quick walk-through of the magnificent Daily Planet set. He and his team work busily trying to make the final preparations before Bryan comes in to direct a scene of Clark Kent's return to his life as a mild-mannered reporter for the world's greatest news publication.
