The juxtaposition of life amongst the dead. Meet the dog walkers, many of whom have no other contact with the living apart from their daily strolls. The local ladies who weed and plant and tend the graves, seeking meaning in the taming of nature. Doggy colleagues communicate via daily wee-mails and find fun with a broken branch. The broken sarcophagi, a haven for wildlife; insects, birds, weeds. Lazy dog-owners leave a legacy of life; what their dog deposits, flies colonise. A vibrant, symbiotic cycle of life and death. All life is here. All death is here. In the sun of English springtide, the cycle is complete amidst a cacophony of church bells and birdsong.
