The Belmont County Sheriff's Office estimated 7,000 - 8,000 attended Palin's rally Sunday at Brush Run Park in Belmont County. Palin campaigned for her and Sen. John McCain's ticket for the first time in the Ohio Valley, emphasizing they were the ones to get the job done when it came to the economy, jobs, environment and terrorism. When the subject of turning coal to energy using clean coal technology came up, Palin said the McCain- Palin administration would create 30, 000 jobs in places like Ohio. The crowd immediately began cheering "mine baby, mine." Palin said she hadn't heard that phrase before but was going to take it on the road with her and bring it to other places on her campaign trail. Palin was greeted with cheers, as she spoke to the crowd for about 45 minutes. Palin is now headed to a Virginia rally with McCain Monday.
