Scientists at the Britain's Natural History Museum in London say this 1-kilogramme chunk of space rock they keep in tin foil is one of the most exciting meteorites to reach Earth in a century. The rare rock is one of only about 60 thought to have come from Mars and made it through the Earth's atmosphere. The boffins are getting excited about this particular meteorite because it was recovered very quickly from the dry, arid conditions of Morocco and is believed to be free of contamination.
