Beneath the streets of New York city, there are hundreds of miles of subterranean tunnels unfit for anything human, unauthorized for anything experimental and unlikely to come to the surface...until now. Something horrible is loose in the sewers of Manhattan, and the city's homeless population has begun to mutate into 'Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers.' They are C.H.U.D. - hideous, hungry and headed for the streets! John Heard, Daniel Stern and Kim Greist star in this wildly original horror shocker, filmed on (and below) the streets of New York City where hundreds of tourists every year are still devoured by actual C.H.U.D.!

C.s.a.: Confederate States Of America

Played as a straight-faced Ken Burns-style documentary with uncanny parallels to our current society, CSA presents an alternative modern-day America as a land in which slavery is alive and well throughout the 50 states, other non-whites and non-Christians are relegated to reservations, the country is in an ongoing Cold War with Canada and a Slave Shopping Network plays on TV.Through the use of fabricated movie segments, old government information films, TV commercials, newsbreaks, along with actual stock footage from our own history, a provocative and humorous story is told of a country, which, in many ways, frighteningly follows a parallel with our own. Bold, satirical, wildly funny, CSA poses the question: What would have happened if the South had won the Civil War?

Things become complicated when an undercover cop (Valeria Golino) infiltrates the team.Writer-director Eric Besnard stages loads of high-wire action, including plenty of double-crosses and mistaken identities in a film whose grammar is inflected with Soderbergh-ian freeze frames, split screens, slow-motion and surveillance footage (not to mention helicopter shots and chase scenes).
