This scene is from the movie "Cannibal Holocaust" (1980). Many people considered this movie to be made using the genuine snuff material. But it was proved false. Director Ruggero Deodato was taken to court to prove that he hasn't slain real people for his motion picture. One example the court made him prove concerned the lady impaled on the stake (please see the details of that iconic impalement scene). How it was made? A native girl sat on a bicycle seat on a pole, holding a spike of balsa wood in her mouth (it was 1980 and there were not computer graphics at that time). Ever since I gained an interest in computer graphics, there's always something I've wanted to do...well, there's a lot of projects I want to do, but this one's a biggie: Making cartoons of the quirky game, Space Station Silicon Valley. (A rabbit, a pig, an elephant VS a mad constructor) It took nearly five years of work to Michael Sormann, a 34-year-old Austrian who worked almost 10 years in the game company Neo Software (now Rockstar) in Vienna, to realize with Autodesk Maya and to present this superb 3D animation at Siggraph 2007 in San Diego (exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques). Only the music is not of him, it was composed by David Brandstaetter. The story : on a strange planet, covered of large attractions, a rabbit escapes from a laboratory where a mad constructor was getting ready to turn it into ? It will remain a mystery ! Good album I came upon thanks to my girlfriend. A BIG 90`s roster on this one. "Ball-Hog or Tugboat? is the debut solo album by former Minutemen and fIREHOSE bassist, songwriter and vocalist Mike Watt. It was recorded in 1994, and came at a personal and professional career crossroads for Watt. fIREHOSE had broken up after eight years and six releases earlier in 1994, and his marriage to former Black Flag bassist Kira Roessler had ended in divorce (although both their friendship and their dual-bass project Dos continued; Kira also contributed some computer graphics to the album's artwork). Without a full-time band, Watt recruited a wide variety of friends and fellow travelers to participate in the recording of the album.
