the music video channel you thought could never happen.
By progosk on 2006-03-14 13:05:21
The good:
finally all the ollaborative goodness of antville becomes *the* music video channel on the 'net.
The bad:
it's a mixed bag, and this cobbled-together feed misses a few entries.
Review:
http://videos.antville.org has evolved into the coolest source for music videos on the net. it's gathered a passionate community who do their best to locate links to interesting videos, and then comment on them - think metafilter for music videos.
a lot of participants are from the music video industry, including quite a few directors, so the selection of videos (at a current avergage of eight to ten per day) is never banal or commercial, always fresh.
antville, as it's known to its regulars, has recently set up a companion wiki at http://www.videoville.org to keep save some of this passion from its ephemeral oblivion. the antcast feed is the latest development in the name of spreading antville music video coolth to as broad an audience as possible.
feed antcast to fireant, or to democracy, use it as a live rss bookmark in firefox, or else come check it out here on mefeedia. in itunes you'd be losing quite a few of the entries, since media formats are of all kinds on antville.
and: when you see something you love (or even something you abhor) - click the # permalink to read what others think, and then state your case on http://videos.antville.org .
