QuickTime | Flash share by: vPIP Embed (copy & paste): close A tradition in South Philadelphia since 1975, Odunde played out to a sweltering heat wave that hit the east coast. I got the opportunity to chat to Daily News reporter Damon Williams a longtime Philly resident and Odunde attendee and neighbor of the event. I had the pleasure of turning the good Capt n onto some Hop Wallop a winter seasonal that we found lingering in the fridge of a beer store. This shoot was just a quick one, we did have work to do, but I look forward to joining Tony on his boat in the near future.

West Philadelphia Springtime Snapshot

QuickTime | Flash This was a real quick play with my brother Andrew as we took a walk to a local pub for some spirits and conversation. I live in the University City section of West Philadelphia which is a melting pot of Ivy League academics, anarchists, hippies and a growing community of Africans (Ghana, Ethiopia, Eritrea and many more). This is a video of my walk to the bar. A bit short but we were just winging it, therefore only a snapshot of the community. Jimmy CraicHead

Videoblogging Week 2008 Hollywood Forever
from Jimmy CraicHead TV on April 21, 2008
174 views / likes
QuickTime | Flash This footage is a little bit of goofing off before my brother Andrew Coffey and I went off to the first Podcast Media Expo in 2005 where he was hosting Podcast Awards. I had always wanted to visit Hollywood Forever an incredible cemetary featuring the likes of many Hollywood legends. I also wanted to pay tribute to Johnny Ramone and Dee Dee Ramone both of whom I d met and hung out with in 1983 when they passed thru Philly. I sold many of my baseball cards to Johnny, including a Steve Carlton rookie card (good condition). The experience of hanging with Johnny and Dee Dee was well worth the sacrifice. Joey seemed off limits, not as chatty as Johnny or Dee Dee. Ritchie was drumming at this time. Enjoy Videobloggingweek2008! Gabba Gabba Hey! Jimmy CraicHead Technorati Tags: videobloggingweek2008

QuickTime | Flash share by: vPIP Embed (copy s call this the prequel to Dover to Belgium ferry ride. My travel pal Cynthia is one crazy girl. Met her at a Philly block party around 1982, and I was impressed that she was the only black girl (African American term not yet invented by PC people) wearing a Clash shirt. We loved many of the same punk new wave bands and to this day, our favorite band of all time is XTC. Cynthia moved to California in 1987 and we still email. Cynthia, this is for you! Jimmy CraicHead

QuickTime | Flash share by: vPIP Embed (copy s best weather in 2007 and Killarney was our third stop after Dublin and Galway. We took a jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park, and the fine driver, whose name escapes us told of John McShane a builder who left for America and built the Pentagon with Philadelphia legend John Kelly Sr.. John Kelly Sr. was father to Grace Kelly and made his fortune in the brick business. According to our jaunty car driver, John McShane moved back to Killarney Ireland where he passed away in 1997 at the age of 92. He left his mansion and land to Killarney which now a folk museum and National Park. Happy St. Patrick s Day Jimmy CraicHead

Froggy Carr versus Philadelphia Police

QuickTime | Flash share by: vPIP Embed (copy ve been going every Mummers Parade since 1980 so I ve seen a lot of ups and downs with weather, postponements, and cancelations and this year was no different. My sole reason to go the Mummers Parade is to see the String Bands. Every year we have to put up with the nonsence of what are called the Fancies , and I ve been complaining every year to everyone around me to flush the Fancies and to bring on the String Bands. This year, the couple behind me even brought books to read during the Fancies; now what does that tell you. Lo and be hold, an article comes out the The Daily News from Stu Bykofsky basically suggesting how to improve the parade. My friends and I view from the stands at City Hall, and from my perspective, much of the delay is from every single comic and Fancy act getting tv time, and then a cut to a tv advertisement. And of course, there is always a rumor that Froggy Carr had a sit down somewhere on Broad Street. A 3 hour delay for weather now becomes 4 hours and the String Bands are playing close to 10pm. So yes, it s is time to dump the Fancies. And as for the Fancy Brigades? They died 11 years ago.

Running of the Santas Philadelphia 2007

QuickTime | Flash Demanda was sick for this video so I took Judy, my brindle mutt down to Running of the Santas an event held in several cities around the USA. It is a benefit for Alex s Lemonade Stand, a foundation for child cancer. The Philly run is about 2 blocks from Finnigan s Wake to McFadden s and there were over a 1000 santas, rabbis, elves and even a dradle. And if anyone knows the scumbag that throws his left shoulder into me which is clearly visable (he has a beer in his right hand) mention to him this is not cool and is very white trash! Thanks and Merry Christmas and Happy Hanakau. Jimmy CraicHead

Downrigging Weekend Chestertown MD 2007

QuickTime | Flash Demanda and I showed at up Downrigging Weekend in 2006, only to find all the tickets for sailing had been sold weeks before. This year we booked early and were greeted with strong cold north winds, the remmnats Hurricane Noah. There are over a dozen tall ships that sail this event, held the first weekend in November. We sailed Virginia Schooner a 116 foot Schooner that would have made Errol Flynn proud. Errol owned an incredible sailboat about this size named the Zaca, which he sailed and lived till the very end. So Errol, this video tribute is to you! Boat Drinks, Jimmy CraicHead!
