Travelling the islands of Beliz , in this case from Caye Caulker to Belize City, is a lot of fun. Although preflight seems to be often taken for granted, the flights were smooth, short and fun. Watch these various videos and stills of the flight and sights on a Tropic Air flight in June 2008- the staff is VERY friendly and helpful, btw!

Henno Jacques is a freelance graphic designer in Holland. In this video spot, he is interviewed by Markzware's Arnold Roosch about what he does, which graphic arts programs he uses, why and how.What is most interesting about Henno is that although he has Adobe InDesign CS3, he prefers to use QuarkXPress 7. So much in fact, that when he gest IND files in, he converts them to QXD with Markzware's ID2Q or InDesign to QuarkXPress conversion XTension.He also preflights every design with Markzware's FlightCheck Professional. Not only will he check the Quark files, but after creating a cPDF, he also postflights the resulting press-PDF. (One can not check enough!) Here at Markzware, like any software company, we work hard but also of course like our free time. In this video you can see some of the Markzware crew in the Caribbean sea down in Belize which lies within Central America. Snorkelling with sea turtles, sharks, rays and numerous tropical fish is quite a treat! Trip was by Carlos Tours of Caye Caulker, whom provided and excellent full-day trip on a fast boat. The lunch in San Pedro was also great!

Do you have corrupted, bad or crashing Adobe InDesign files? Well, you are not alone. Although thankfully this is still a minority, corruption, error -5, power outages, network issues and other eventualties do occur- and Markzware has listented!In this video, get an update on how they fix bad InDesign print-jobs with a rather interesting method. Actually, if you have QuarkXPress (that's right, Quark!) and a couple of the popular Markzware conversion tools, you could do this too. Apparently it is workin as high as 90% of the time!The tools used are ID2Q or InDesign to QuarkXPress within Quark and then you take that saved file and re-open it in InDesign using Markzware's sister XTension called Q2ID or QuarkXPress to Adobe InDesign and viol, it simply works!Check out the video and see for yourself. Markzware is working on a plugin for this process and as such want your bad or flaky InDesign files- send them to sales@markzware.nl and they will get you FTP details and try to recover the file for you!

FlightCheck Professional is the tool for preflight operators. With it's ability to check, stand-alone, 50+ file formats, such as Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress and even PDF files, makes it a must-have in design and prepress alike.This video will provide you with a great overview on why and how to use FlightCheck within your workflow. The Ground Controls are the key to setting things up, for here you can check image resolution, color settings (RGB, CMYK, Greyscale, etc) or fonts issues to error, warning or of course not relevant.
