"On a completely different, and much more shallow, note... Vote on my Hair! Cut or No Cut! Im having huge doubts about cutting it. This is the first time in my life that I have grown my hair to such lengths and actually *cared* about it. As a kid, I had long hair, but that was more my parents choice-- I really didnt think about it at all. Then before my sisters wedding (june 2003) I had grown it on purpose for the first time, so that I would have long hair for the ceremony, but I really hated it. I hated the long hair and it showed-- it was long, damaged, and felt icky to the touch. I immediately chopped it off after the wedding. Enter, Haircut From Hell. So, now I have this long hair I love and its soft and pretty and I wanted it so bad, but its so tiring. With the start of this new semester I feel the desire to start anew. Cut away the hair and cut away the past. New hair, for a new beginning. But, I just hope I dont miss it.... Miss the long, bouncy ponytails... miss the huge mass of curls I can get... miss the feeling of looking so feminine. Why is it that girls are so attached to their hair?? I know its not just me-- nearly every girl I know has had issues with her hair. Why does it matter so much? Its not like it doesnt grow back.
