As you can see, the video in question features a young woman, Lauren Bernat, and her boyfriend, Giovanni, and has reached millions of views in just one month, gaining national news coverage and landing Lauren on the popular MTV show, TRL. They are trying to figure out how to make money off of this, but so far have not been able to land a major deal. I will be keeping my eye on what s next for this young couple.

The two met in Junior High School, found that they shared a similar sense of humor, and eventually began posting lip dubs to YouTube. For almost no expense, and almost no technical experience, Ian and Anthony have fostered an enormous online community around their videos.

I ve had a tumblr blog installed here on Pop17 from day one and I love it. I d definitely recommend setting up a Tumblr blog if you are looking for a blogging platform, especially if you are into reblogging. When Steve Jobs gave his keynote in San Francisco at WWDC I went to the Prince Street Apple store in SoHo, New York to get opinions from people shopping. Chris Pirillo is getting one for the GPS. Maybe it isn t necessary for everyone, but it s going to be really cool to see the apps developed for GPS on the 3G iphone. I can t wait. It s so exciting!! Many prefer the titanium look of the first gen model and don t like the plastic look of the 3G iphone. I like the feminine look of the white 16GB model for $299. It s got that classic Apple feel. Ahhh . My iphone is one of my best friends. I want an upgrade, but I m not 100% sure if I will be waiting in line July 11th. Should I get the white 16GB 3G iphone? Will people with first generation iphones upgrade to 3G? Is it just a trend? I d love to hear your thoughts.

I also use an N95 phone which I broadcast on to Flixwagon when outside of the studio. RNO s work is outstanding for utilizing the medium s interactive potential, bringing on guests from afar and provoking a lot of real-time conversations. Arnaud recently gained experience in film and television in France and then relocated to New York City at the end of last year. I went to Prospect Park in Brooklyn and met with the team at Indy Mogul to celebrate their one year anniversary. Indy Mogul releases three shows a week that help people find out about film making. They show you everything from how to make a web show on a low budget to creating special effects. The crew is with Next New Networks producing 5 minute episodes for the web full time. On their YouTube channel alone they are just about to hit the 20,000 subscriber mark and have 180 videos on the site. Their active participation with their audience is discussed on their wikipedia page - Indy Mogul s audience is highly influential in the direction of the show, not only by making requests for effects and asking questions, but by following in the footsteps of the Indy Mogul crew and passing on their own knowledge of film making. Forum members have been brought on as bloggers for the site and many viewer submitted tutorials have gained many views on YouTube.

The show runs twice a week and has seen enormous traction on Vimeo and College Humor, however, they have yet to syndicate it to other video hosting sites. In short, these guys are a riot! I look forward to watching their shows and seeing what wacky and fun ideas they come up with.

Around the world, the number of women gamers online is starting to overtake the number of men. A report by Gamesdog outlines the statistics. Becky Aktrez Young is a pro gamer who has built a big brand around her activity on social networks. She does live broadcasts with her friends on Justin.tv. She is a recurring guest on G4 s The Loop and creator of the Girls Entertainment Network. One up and coming gamer girl to keep an eye on is Katharine Fletcher. She is an actress, dancer, video blogger, blogger and is looking to get more involved with live video. I asked Caitlin to explain some of her greatest challenges. She says: The challenges that one faces when they are a video blogger is remaining true to themselves. There is so much criticism and when you are also editing yourself you get to see a side of you that you have never seen, and you become highly critical of yourself. You also start to change yourself to fit what the audience likes OR you change yourself to go against what the audience likes. It can shatter confidence and increase self-doubt. The hardest thing I face now, is just getting back to basics and also just getting off my butt and making the videos I ve been dreaming about for years. That s the problem, I m too lazy. Another thing that is hard is keeping up with it all. The Internet is 24/7, as we all know, and as soon as you close your eyes, your whole digital world can change. It s not a very stable environment to grow up in ; )
