Alan Parsons - Eye in the Sky * (live) from ProgToWatch (last in - first out) on February 20, 2008 66 views / likes
This song is about being watched - by satellites, aircraft and cameras. It implies a future where we are constantly monitored and the government has taken away all our freedoms. br / br / It borrows heavily from the book 1984 and the concept of Big Brother created by George Orwell. br / Lead vocals were from Eric Woolfson, Parsons' main collaborator. He was Parsons' lyricist and manager. br / br / In some ways, this is an extension of The Alan Parsons Project's previous album The Turn of a Friendly Card, which deals with gambling. Woolfson spent a lot of time in casinos and was fascinated with the hidden cameras watching his every move.
