frightfest 2005 Originally uploaded by petarver. So if you really know me you know that I am a scaredy cat. My husband and kids wanted to go to Frightfest this year. To say the least....I begged not to go. Well when we arrived I found that it wasn't that scarey, But I still didn't like the things jumping out as me. I had to be brave for my youngest who hid under my coat....so some of the footage is shakey. And...my editing isn't perfect, not that it would be....but it's been better. My program is being crappy and I got fustrated...so here it is. Click Photo for video footage

Airplanes Originally uploaded by petarver. We spent the afternoon "flying" airplanes. They are the styrofoam kind that you charge up and throw....directly into a tree. We definately sucked at the whole plane thing, but it was fun. I think we have a few too many trees here to be sucessful and our throwing skills aren't quite polished either. The boys had fun....and that's all that counts. Music: Weezer - My Best Friend

racoon Originally uploaded by petarver. My mother-in-law and I were sitting at the dining room table talking and we had the front door open to let in the nice breeze. When she got up to go to the kitchen we noticed we had a friend (racoon) coming in the front door. He had his two front feet in the doorway as she quickly closed the door. All the guys were outside playing a game of what we like to to call Snitch and Bludgers (it's really Bocce). Joking around we hollered "Help we're trapped by a racoon"...the guys came not really believing us that a racoon was out at 11:30 in the morning. When he saw the guys he ran from the front porch to the deck out back..... Click on the racoon for the video..... Listen for my friend when she finally wakes up.

reycling bins Originally uploaded by petarver. These guys are delivering our new recycling bins. They are fairly large...96 gallons. I watched the guy in the truck for a while hoping that he wouldn't fall. It's really wet out and the bins are full of water. Sounds like I set something werid on the mic settings too. (Er.. Still learningabout settings on my new camera)
