July 25 - Getting Totally Gnarly In The Children’s Play Area (3 mins 50)
from on July 25, 2005
516 views / likes
SO. IT WAS A FALSE ALARM. WOW. I M SORRY. TO BE DISCUSSED LATER. Meanwhile, here s a nice little film from yesterday with music from the Kaiser Chiefs showing us being TOTALLY SICK and dicing with death in the park - I was with my sister Jakki, her boyfriend Anthony and my nephew and niece William and Charlotte. We are so gnarly. I almost soiled my pants. What I didn t show is that there was a crowd of skater chicks waiting for us to finish so they could get on with their stuff. Brilliant. WE ROCK.

Little Kubrick is due on 3rd August. Three weeks away, although he/she could come any time now. Oh my God. AM I FIT TO BE A FATHER? Well apparently, your pet handling skills are a great indication of what you ll be like as a parent. So I thought I d put this to the test with Kate s cat.

I asked my first love for help this morning, but she was no help at all. She s so self-absorbed. The sound in the background (sorry) is the kettle boiling. I m freaking out about this project, for some reason. I suddenly feel really uncomfortable doing it, recording all my private stuff, publicly. I feel so, um, self-absorbed

News of explosions in London

I think I should say that I edited this before posting because it looked like I was smiling, while actually I was just stunned and reacting nervously, and I didn t want it to be misinterpreted. So I cut bits out to make it seem more appropriate to my actual mood. Idealogically unsound, but at least an at-the-moment record.

My First Real Videoblog / Impending Fatherhood (90 secs)
from on July 05, 2005

FINALLY. God DAMN! I ve been OBSESSED with the idea of doing this properly (rather than just the workingformydad webcam shorts) for FOUR MONTHS. And now I have only one month until I m a dad. So. I m going to try and do a little 30 second snapshot every day, or at least every other day. But FCK, with my job and my new house and little Kubrick 31 days away, it s hard to find the time to EAT - let alone shoot, edit, compress, upload, post and charge the camera. Discipline. Routine. Do or Do Not - there is no Try. Click here to view movie in a new window May take 30 secs or more to download on broadband file size 1.8mb
