SO. IT WAS A FALSE ALARM. WOW. I M SORRY. TO BE DISCUSSED LATER. Meanwhile, here s a nice little film from yesterday with music from the Kaiser Chiefs showing us being TOTALLY SICK and dicing with death in the park - I was with my sister Jakki, her boyfriend Anthony and my nephew and niece William and Charlotte. We are so gnarly. I almost soiled my pants. What I didn t show is that there was a crowd of skater chicks waiting for us to finish so they could get on with their stuff. Brilliant. WE ROCK.

I asked my first love for help this morning, but she was no help at all. She s so self-absorbed. The sound in the background (sorry) is the kettle boiling. I m freaking out about this project, for some reason. I suddenly feel really uncomfortable doing it, recording all my private stuff, publicly. I feel so, um, self-absorbed

That said, the countryside round here is pretty amazing too. This is my brother in law Fred on the South Downs this evening. We re playing a game in which we take turns to make up a story. He s seven. And great company.

Beautiful skies over London - thought I should post today, although recorded a couple of weeks ago. I used to hate living here. The last few months, I ve been loving it.

I think I should say that I edited this before posting because it looked like I was smiling, while actually I was just stunned and reacting nervously, and I didn t want it to be misinterpreted. So I cut bits out to make it seem more appropriate to my actual mood. Idealogically unsound, but at least an at-the-moment record.

I wasn t even really aware that the Olympic decision was being made until I went into the offie looking for my lost keys Then it suddenly got its hooks into me. It was amazing. The finalists were New York, Paris, London, Madrid and Moscow. Paris was favourite. I live in London. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

FINALLY. God DAMN! I ve been OBSESSED with the idea of doing this properly (rather than just the workingformydad webcam shorts) for FOUR MONTHS. And now I have only one month until I m a dad. So. I m going to try and do a little 30 second snapshot every day, or at least every other day. But FCK, with my job and my new house and little Kubrick 31 days away, it s hard to find the time to EAT - let alone shoot, edit, compress, upload, post and charge the camera. Discipline. Routine.
