Big City Broker
Does anyone watch this show? It's on HGTV in Canada it follows around Toronto real estate guru Brad Lamb and his sales team. It's a lot of fun and it's pretty stylish too. One of the better real estate shows out there. |

Croydon TRID Animation_MillderDesignGroup_10.23.07
This model seems less than feasible (to say the least) and frankly not what the local residents of Croydon would like to see. Let me say that the area clearly has a lot of potential, which is why there is all of this interest in the first place. I live a stone's throw from the Croydon Septa Station, and I'll say the station definitely needs a facelift, i.e., a better (perhaps 'paved') parking layout, a more accommodating dugout/waiting area, and a well-designed landscaping concept, but that's really all that is needed regarding the train station. There's no need for a huge multi-level parking complex, etc. It's a small town and should be kept that way. In my neighborhood (Croydon Acres), there has been a large influx of young new home owners pouring money into the area... home expansion and remodeling projects are around nearly every corner. The streets of Croydon Acres have been almost completely lined with new trees (courtesy of a state grant I believe) over the last several years. "We want new sidewalks, paved streets, trees and less trash" ... perhaps some additional investment in the marina area. We need an eco-friendly beautification plan, particularly along Rt.13 and State Rd., as well as some other minor superficial improvements to the infrastructure. This, in addition to the increasingly younger demographic, will provide the spark the area needs to really get rolling, grow and prosper in a way it's resident's truly desire. I don't know who's concept this particular model was, but it's not the right direction for our community. |
