NOTE: I'll have the Mike Reynolds episode available for D/L sometime Sunday. As for this show, with the interview over, some of the fans feel like hanging out and geeking on Robotech in general. And who am I to deny the urge to geek?

Tonight's guest was Jason Marker, the fellow who is writing the Southern Cross RPG for Palladium. The first hour is devoted exclusively to Robotech news and questions about the RPG; the second hour branches out into other SF and anime, including a review of the Devil May Cry anime by Charles Phipps.

On the agenda for tonight: I got a new cellphone, and was finally able to get the Robotech: New Generation cellphone game! Also, discussion of Macross Frontier, if I get a chance to watch some of it before then. And who knows what else?

Since I didn't get to do a show last weekend, and Charles Phipps was nagging me about doing another one, I decided to do one now and see how many people showed up. We began with a discussion of the announcement of Shadow Chronicles coming to BluRay, then I talked with Charles about his introduction to Robotech fandom, and Shadow Chronicles. After a while, Tommy Yune showed up, and Mantino called in, and we had more of a discussion. In the second half of the show, I take 20 minutes or so to talk about my newest animated object of affection, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Avatar is a gorgeously-realized series that compares very favorably to Robotech. Then the Robotech talk resumes for the rest of the hour.

I'm going to try running the show in a Saturday afternoon timeslot for a while, so I will not be directly competing with Battlestar Galactica and so that it will give European Robotech fans more of a chance to get in on the show. Up for discussion today: more on the RPG, and whatever else comes to mind.

Because, really, what else is there to talk about right now? :)
