Left of the Dial

To any one who has that ultra-expensive digital cable that I have been talking about, Left of the Dial is playing on HBO Signature East. I never heard of Left of the Dial until today, but it is a chronicle to the opening days of Air America Radio. I regret not listening to Air America more often, I kinda stopped after the election because it was a little depressing. Also it's not local, I have gotten an email that its nearby in D.C on A.M radio but I have to search for it with some type of map. When I listened to it, I used their streaming online service which has a delay, so when I tried to call in to the Rhandi Rhodes which I love, I was on hold forever, one time I called at exaclty 2:57 for the 3:00 show and they had me on hold for ore than an hour. I finally hung up after I kept battling with myself to stay on. You know I love Franken's Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them, and the but the glasses have to go! The movie will be playing throughout the week.

White House Press Whore Back At it Again

You would think that after all the beating around the Bush that Jeff Gannon did on the Today Show, he would go into instant reclusion and continue to try to wash his hands. But again, we are dealing with the manipulative right wing that could turn excrement into the next big stock. Gannon has decided to revive his previously and mysteriously deleted website at www.jeffgannon.com. If you read my story yesterday, the site, in Michael Jackson style basically said I am innocent and I am not a monster and the allegations are malicious or as Republicans put it, all of this is a part of the left wing conspiracy. Of course this is the same left wing that paid millions to look into Whitewater , authored the Starr Report and anything that had to do with cigars. Even though, his former "news job" at Talon News is over and the site itself has managed to disappear off of the face of the web avoiding even Google, Gannon is trying to increase his news presence in what looks like a public relations fiasco. Appearances on the Today Show, radio, and exclusive interviews with Editor and Publisher seem like the start of a nicely orchestrated Republican PR blitz. So as I was saying, the "news organization"Talon News has disappeared off the face of the Earth, the right wing is calling liberals homophobes, a fake reporter is broadcasting (let's face it) Bush's anti-gay legislation, plagiarizing news, is involved in the outing of a CIA agent, is ushered into the White House daily for a whole year without a background check, lobs softballs at White House officials, gets a pass without ever writing an article (or acquired a journalism degree or at least be connected with a news organization), works for a fake news site and arm of biased, partisan, no holds barred political website, registers porn sites or domain names for companies, has photos of himself urinating on the web, is selling his porn websites $7500 a piece, equates gay marriage to man-dog sex, believes Matthew Shephard was an example of a "so called hate crime," and have I mentioned that he is a homosexual and provides male escort services? So far, none of this has warranted a mainstream news story, a decent editorial, a mention, a plug or hint of congressional investigation. Print media won't touch it, news reporters are silent, and Republicans have somehow become monastery monks. I am still baffled why no one has dared venture into Guckert land. Let this had been 7 or 8 years ago and this would be in rapid play on all the networks. The only thing that we have gotten out of this was a silent media, a vocal blogosphere, even more examples of incompetent congress and Senate, empty editorial pages (because people don't know about the story in the first place) and a man who proclaims that "In consideration of the welfare of me and my family I have decided to return to private life," but is trying to profit off of it. This is ridiculous. Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Dobson and their groups and councils can piss and fret when Spongebob comes on or when PBS shows a cartoon with lesbians , but yet remain silent when the name Gannon is mentioned. It would seem like the biggest promoter of Gannon is not the progressive bloggers , the New York Times, Rush Limbaugh or Sue from Maryville Texas, but Gannon himself.
