Mech Update from Project 907 on April 02, 2005 357 views / likes
I took a drive out to Wasilla last weekend to visit with Carlos Owens. Here's an update on his progress. Carlos is building an 18 foot tall "Mech" in his parents backyard. Here's an 11.7 mb mp4 file as well as a 4 mb Quicktime file of some stuff that I shot. It was edited rather hastily, I may update it if I find the time. Carlos has a website too, it can be found here Hopefully we'll be seeing this thing walking soon !

Iditarod Sled Dog Race from Project 907 on March 06, 2005 261 views / likes
Well it's that time of the year again, when you've made it this far you know that spring is right around the corner. I'm talking about thousands of people and dogs right outside my office window today......It's the ceremonial start of the 33rd Annual Iditarod (2.6 mb QT) sled dog race in downtown Anchorage. It's all for show though, as the teams will load everything up again and drive out to Willow for the restart on Sunday. May the best team win !

KABN Radio from Project 907 on March 03, 2005 510 views / likes
KABN radio was a unique one-of-a-kind radio station north of Anchorage. It was started by a man named John Hale in the late 1970's, and was truly the last free format radio station where you could here Frank Zappa followed by Mozart with some Earl Monroe thrown in between. This 2.6 mb Quicktime Movie was produced by an Anchorage television station around 1986. Note the anchor is John Larsen, who would later to go on to work at NBC in the '90's. KABN radio was legendary in Alaska for it's unique flavor and quirky sound, and I'm lucky to have had the experience of being involved with KABN radio.
