The first event of the Goldfish Surf Series landed right in time for the yearly shark sightings on the Central Coast. This years White Shark was spotted in Cayucos several times just 5 miles North of Morro Rock, including the day before the event! However, with 4-6 reeling lefts off of Morro Rock the day of the event, everyone quickly forget about what was underneath them and focused on what was up for grabs in front of them such as, cold hard cash, heaps of prizes, and bragging rights! The first Cooterfish event of the season was again one to remember. Overhead conditions (On the Groms) and sunny weather brought out all kinds of life to First Street in Kill Devil Hills with everyone looking to gain points towards the 2008 VQS Champs. Here is a brief rundown on the day’s competition. Music by Inbred.

Once again The Greatwhite Surf Series was greeted with amazing surf for the season opener at Pleasure Point. The day started off with strong rain and cold conditions, but plenty of waves to go around. However mid day the rain would subside and the swell seamed to pour on more with a solid 45-minute period off none stop sets coming in. The competitors took advance of the pumping surf, beach antics, prizes and cash on the line. Music by: ASG.

Texas! That's right I said Texas! A surf contest in Texas? Yep, we go to Texas to run a surf event and we always have a good time. This year was no different, the Corpus hellions were up to there original antics and they did not disappoint. As usual we woke up to heavy rain in the early morning but it subsided and we were greeted with a ton of smiling kids ready to rip the fun waist high surf. Music by: ASG.

After a summer full of great weather, it felt like winter was upon us in a flash with a random rainstorm that blasted the first event of the Seaslug Surf Series. From rain, wind, and amazing rainbows the surf stayed contestable throughout the day to let the brave troops that showed up take on the storm and compete for some valuable VQS points. Music by: ASG.
