The PodCamp Boston Participant Contest! from PodCamp Boston Podcast on July 04, 2007 357 views
The PodCamp Boston Participant Contest! Poking around the Eventbrite software, we noticed that there s an ability to add affiliate links to the ticketing software. Based on a customized URL, we can see which affiliate links have resulted in the most clicks and ticket sales for PodCamp Boston, which is really cool. So here s what we re going to do. Similar to Podcasters Across Borders, we re going to put up a prize. The affiliate who brings the most people to PodCamp Boston will win a Sanyo VPC-CG65 handheld video camera (rough market value: $350). This little baby is what PodCamp Co-Founder Christopher Penn uses to take videos - it shoots with the advanced AVC/H.264 codec and can cram 75 minutes of high quality video onto a single 1 GB SD card. See an example here. Here s how you participate. Use this URL: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/59949310/XYZ Where XYZ is your full name. So for example, PodCamp Co-Founder Chris Brogan would use: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/59949310/chrisbrogan In the Eventbrite software, we ll see how many tickets are sold by an affiliate. Additional rules: 1. You must be present to win. The camera will be given away on Sunday afternoon at the closing remarks session. 2. The winner will be the affiliate who has the most number of people ACTUALLY SHOW UP. (yes, organizationally, we ll actually be checking people in at the door this year!) 3. The winner must have a minimum of 10 attendees who actually show up. 4. Affiliate numbers will be published on the blog at irregular intervals. That s about the only reporting we ve got now, but if for some reason there s any kind of dispute, we ll gladly log in live and show you in person at PodCamp Boston. 5. You re welcome to copy the buttons on the PodCamp blog or make your own. 6. Other rules may appear here as circumstances warrant. Good luck, and have some fun with the contest! Need some buttons? Here s a couple: http://www.PodCampBoston.org/podcamplogo.png http://www.eventbrite.com/img/ext/click_here_to_sign_up.gif http://www.eventbrite.com/img/ext/attend_this_event2.gif http://www.eventbrite.com/img/button_new/click_here_to_register.gif Share This

Storm of media from PodCamp Boston Podcast on September 13, 2006 357 views
Hey folks, the media is starting to roll into the PodCamp Boston wiki, and so we re going to start pushing it out here. To live up to the agreement we ve made with our sponsors, what we ll be doing is pushing out a session followed by a piece of media from one of our sponsors. Please give them a quick listen or view, since they made PodCamp Boston happen and without them, this would have been a pipe dream. PodCamp Boston Opening Keynote
