Cthulhu Podcast: Yog Meet Audio Recording from UK Games Expo 2008 from Yog-Sothoth.com : Cthulhu Podcast on July 04, 2008 45 views / likes
We had a lot of fun at UK Games Expo 2008 in Birmingham back in May, including the live dungeon delve. While there we held a Yog Meet which is always a good excuse to meet up with people from the site for a good old chat, and in this case we recorded it too. We also served a number of Tunnocks Tea Cakes (too tasty to turn down)! Look out for them again at future Yog Meets... Recorded at UK Games Expo 2008, Birmingham (31st May, 2008) Run Time: 01:22:31 38 MB MP3 file.

Cthulhu Podcast: Yog RadioVision - Living Dungeon 2008 Video from Yog-Sothoth.com : Cthulhu Podcast on June 03, 2008 120 views / likes
A bit of a departure for this one (well, I guess we could really streeetch it to say it might be Cthulhu Dark Ages-related). What we have here is a video recording made at the recent UK Games Expo 2008, where members of YSDC and RPGMP3 got the opportunity to enter the 'Living Dungeon' (The Lair of the Necromancer). So here's your chance to see a little bit of what we got up to after donning quasi-medieval garb and entering the bowels of a transformed Birmingham Library. Regular listeners to various audio games may recognise a few familiar voices... Recorded at UK Games Expo 2008, Birmingham, UK (31st May, 2008) Run Time: 00:06:11 72 MB MP4 file.

This talk concludes the series exploring the relationship between Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos and contemporary occult cultures. Cthulhu Podcast: HPL and the Occult: Lecture 3 - Chariots of the Dark Gods from Yog-Sothoth.com : Cthulhu Podcast on May 11, 2007 423 views / likes
Many of H.P. Lovecraft's best known tales of the Cthulhu Mythos intimate that the human species is nothing but a by-product of extraterrestrial interventions in Earth?s prehistory. Lovecraft?s ideas do, in fact, predate the "Ancient Astronaut" theorists and "alternative archaeologists" by over thirty years. Drawing on the work of Jason Colavito, in this lecture Justin Woodman demonstrates that Lovecraft is a pervasive (but often unacknowledged) influence upon contemporary ufology, UFO religions and the broader 'culture of conspiracy'. Recorded at Treadwells Bookshop, Covent Garden, London, UK (14th February 2007). Run Time: 01:12:10 50 MB MP3 file.

Cthulhu Podcast: HPL and the Occult: Lecture 2 - Legends of the Necronomicon from Yog-Sothoth.com : Cthulhu Podcast on May 11, 2007 474 views / likes
In part two of this series, Justin Woodman explores the history of the legendary Necronomicon in fact and fiction, and ponders its continuing relevance to contemporary occult cultures. Penned by the Yemeni poet and mystic Abdul Alhazred circa 700 AD, the dreaded Necronomicon is perhaps one of the most powerful and alluring of HP Lovecraft's creations: a grimoire able to rend apart the very fabric of reality and bring forth the Great Old Ones themselves. Although a work of fiction, the Necronomicon has achieved a social and physical reality with more than twenty versions having been published since the 1960s. Recorded at Treadwells Bookshop, Covent Garden, London, UK (31st January 2007). Run Time: 01:29:17 54 MB MP3 file.
