As a Black man, I really don't understand the mindest of this Brother pulling 'the Race Card.' Why, if you believe this establishment is discriminating against you, would you want to support them by begging them to take your money? This is crazy. I call this 'Mentally Dead Negro Complex, aka The Oprah complex. I recall Oprah making a statement many years ago where she had tried to buy some jewelry in a Chicago store. She had shown up in jeans, a sweat shirt and without makeup. The store clerk, a manager, had not recogized Oprah and treated her with distain and refused her service. Dummy Oprah, comes back the next day --dressed to kill, walks pass this manager and drops a cool million on jewelry -- things she admits she didn't want/need -- with another clerk. She did all this to create a memorable moment in the mind of the store manager who had dissed her. What point was Oprah trying to prove? Why did Oprah feel that she had to prove anything at all? I hate when blacks put themselves in this position of trying to prove to some racist that they are capable and worthy of service. The point is clear, in my mind at least. If you don't respect who I am or my skin, gold caps or attire offends your sensibilites, I should simply take my money elsewhere. I would have no hard feeling towards you but would see this all as a clear and convincing sign as to who NOT to do business with. So many of these incidents can be used as a motivation for creating SELF-RELIANCE among my people rather than pulling the Race Card. Who know, with the right mindset and motivation, this gold tooth dude could have opened up a new burger joint right next door with a sloagan, COME AS YOU ARE!
